How to make Knockout Stage predictions
No more Draws
With the knockout stage now upon us, it means that there can no longer be draws. Every score entered must have a winner. If you enter a draw it will count as an incorrect result, 0 points.
What about penalties?
Since there can’t be a draw, games that end in a tie will go to penalties. The way our pool works is the team that wins the penalty shoot out gets an extra goal added to the score. And they are deemed the winner.
Example:
Canada and South Africa play to a 0-0 draw after extra time, it goes to penalties.
Canada wins on penalties 5-4.
Therefore the winning result is a 1-0 win for Canada.
Bonus score awarded to those who predicted a 1-0 win for Canada.
